This is tool #5 of the Spin Strategy Five Tool Approach. In Tool #4 we reviewed the spin cycle and how it gets adjusted by plate based on the valuation and measuring we did in Tools 2 and 3.
The Spin Log is exactly what you probably think it is - a way to log all your spinning. I remember when I was looking for a new position in 2007 this was one of the hardest things for me - keeping track of all those network contacts.
What's also nice is that there is a planned report card feature that compares your Spin plan with your Spin log to compare your goals with your actions. Only a gentle reminder to either get back on track or make an adjustment in your plan based on learnings in the search process . Don't worry, it won't end up on your permanent record!
Well, those are the five tools. Not in incredible detail, but you should get the point! I've done my part - now it's your turn.
What do you think? If you are interested in being a beta tester of the new web-based tools send me an e-mail or leave a comment and I'll get in touch.
Also, if you don't like it. What didn't you like? I promise I won't shoot you!
For those of us who practice Quixoting™, it is often very helpful to have a critical voice. We tend to be more impulsive than the average Joe.
Thanks and have a great weekend . . .
Tim
